Description: Hagen Exo Terra Rainforest Heat Wave undertank heater. Rainforest reptile and amphibian species require specific heating parameters. With the Heatwave terrarium heater, you can meet your pet's specific needs. Perfect for under-tank or tank-wall mounting, the Heatwave provides safe, even heat distribution for high-humidity, bottom- or tree-dwelling species. Under-tank mounting: Heater should be mounted under one end of the tank. Clean the outside surface of bottom glass. Place the rubber spacers (included) under each corner of the tank bottom. With the protective backing still intact, place the heater on the bottom of the tank to determine its final position. Mark the position with a wax pencil or other marker. Remove the protective backing and carefully fit the heater to the bottom. Once in place heater should not be moved. To ensure that the tank does not press down on the electrical cord, use the provided rubber spacers. Put the tank on a hard surface (no carpet) like a terrarium stand or table. Plug in the heater. Add the substrate and decorative accessories. The heater is not designed to be used without a substrate in order to prevent reptiles from being burned. Background or wall mounting: Not to be used with paper backgrounds! Clean surface of the glass. With the protective backing still intact, place the heater on the outside of the tank to determine its final position. Mark the position with a wax pencil or other marker. Remove the protective backing and carefully fit the heater to the tank wall. Once in place heater should not be moved. Place the tank in its final location. Plug in the heater.
